Delegations to International Sessions
Feb 13th
The Board of EYP Finland has selected four delegations to represent Finland in the International Sessions of the EYP in 2010.
The delegations from Joensuun lyseon lukio and Puolalanmäen lukio (delegation A) are to take part in the 63rd International Session in Tromsø, Norway, in 16th-25th April 2010. The delegations from Ekenäs Gymnasium and Jyväskylän lyseon lukio have the privilege to participate in the 65th International Session in Lviv, Ukraine, in Fall 2010. Congratulations!
The Board has also selected several delegation to take part in various other events around Europe. These delegations will be contacted shortly. We would also like to remind you of the endless possibilities to continue in EYP even if your delegation didn’t get selected. Please download the brochure with advice here. Session closed
Feb 10th
Joanna Kulpa officially closed Tampere 2010, the 16th National Session of EYP Finland, at the University of Tampere on Monday. The session gathered almost 200 participants in Tampere for five days.

Press team selected

And finally, the entire officials’ team for Tampere 2010 is complete. The press team will be led by two Editors, Lorenz Bock (DE) and Pascal Hiltbrand (CH). The team consists of ten journalists: Konstantina Goula Apostolos (GR), Barış Erkan Çelebi (TR), Melissa Forss (FI), Justus Göttemann (DE), Triin Heinla (EE), Priit Piip (EE), Zahra Runderkamp (NL), Lucas Somville (BE), Sini Ventelä (FI) and Maëlle Zimmermann (CH).
Chairs’ team selected

The entire chairs’ team for the session has now been selected. As announced earlier, the session will be presided by Joanna Kulpa (PL) – accompanied by Vice-Presidents Jari Marjelund (FI) and Jorg Körner (DE). The chairs are: Maria Chalhoub (SE), Martins Dambergs (LV), Marie Dromey (IE), Magnus S. Kristiansen (NO), Noora Lampinen (FI), Lars Melakoski (FI), Ingrid Sårheim (NO), Stefan Vandenhende (BE), Ruut Vedenpää (FI) and Victoria B. Wilkinson (NO). All chairs – excluding the board members – will chair alone.
Organising team selected

The organising team for the session has now been selected. A team of 13 talented individuals will work under the leadership of two Head Organisers, Hanna Ollinen and Merete Holmberg. The organisers are: Valpuri Kaarninen (Deputy Head Organiser), Dominik Drašnar (CZ), Meeri Helminen, Henrietta Hindström, Juho Nikko, Samuli Rytömaa, Elina Sairanen, Maria Saraste, Emma Sommardahl, Paula Talonen, Ruut Vedenpää, Nina Vehanen and Kaisa Vuori.
President selected!

We are extremely glad to announce that Joanna Kulpa (PL) has accepted the invitation to preside the session. Joanna is very dedicated and experienced an EYPer, having attended tens of sessions all around Europe. She edited at the International Session in Stockholm in April 2009 and vice-presided the International Session in Helsinki in October 2009. Tampere 2010 won’t be her first EYP session in Tampere; she chaired at the 1st Baltic Sea Regional Forum, organised in Tampere in 2006.
As the session president, Joanna will chair the chairs’ team and provide the entire session with her leadership. The president is responsible for preparing the chairs’ training that will take place before the session, as well as chairing the debate in the General Assembly. Joanna’s vice-presidents and the chairs’ team will be announced shortly.

Haku kansalliseen istuntoon journalistiksi tai järjestäjäksi
EYP Finland järjestää 16. kansallisen istuntonsa Tampereella 5.–8. helmikuuta 2010. Istunto kokoaa liki 200 nuorta noin 15 Euroopan maasta. Delegaatit työskentelevät 10 komiteassa. Istunto sisältää teambuilding-päivän, kaksi päivää komiteatyötä ja yksipäiväisen yleiskokouksen. Istuntoon osallistuvat suomalaiset delegaatiot on valittu syksyn kolmesta alueellisesta istunnosta. Kansallisessa istunnosta valitaan delegaatiot edustamaan Suomea Tromssan ja Lvivin kansainvälisissä istunnoissa sekä monissa muissa tapahtumissa ympäri Eurooppaa.
Haemme nyt istuntoon journalisteja ja järjestäjiä.
Istunnon journalistitiimiin valitaan 10 journalistia. EYP Finland pyrkii kokoamaan idearikkaan tiimin, joka kykenee
tuottamaan myös perinteistä poikkeavaa EYP-journalismia. Mikäli sinulla on kokemusta videoiden tekemisestä tai
muita erityistaitoja, kerro siitä hakemuksessasi.
Istuntoon pyritään kokoamaan myös noin 15-henkinen, osaava järjestelytiimi. Rooliin voi sisältyä tekemistä myös
ennen istuntoa.
Journalistien osallistumismaksu on 30 euroa, joka kattaa ruoan ja majoituksen. Järjestäjille ei ole
osallistumismaksua. Journalistien ja järjestäjien on saavuttava istuntoon jo 4. päivä teambuildingia ja koulutusta
varten.
Vapaamuotoisen hakemuksen tulee sisältää:
- mihin rooliin haet
- yhteystietosi: nimi, ikä, sähköpostiosoite, puhelinnumero
- aiempi EYP-kokemuksesi
- lyhyt kirjoitelma siitä miksi haet ja miksi sinut tulisi valita
Jos haet sekä journalistiksi että järjestäjäksi, ilmoita hakemuksessasi myös kumpi on ensisijainen toiveesi. Hakemukset tulee lähettää 30. marraskuuta mennessä osoitteeseen tampere2010@eypfinland.org.

EYP Finland has the pleasure to host its 16th National Session in Tampere 5th – 8th of February 2010. The session will gather nearly 200 participants from over 15 countries. The delegates will work in 10 committees, discussing a variety of current issues. The session includes a day of teambuilding, two days of committee work and a one-day General Assembly. The working languages of the session are English and French.
The Finnish delegations taking part in the event have been selected at the three Regional Sessions of EYP Finland in October and November 2009. At the National Session, delegations are selected to represent Finland at International Sessions in Tromso and Lviv and several other events around Europe.
We are now looking for journalists. The press team will consist of 10 journalists working under the leadership of two editors. EYP Finland aims at having an innovative team able to create unorthodox EYP journalism. If you have any experience with video making or other special skills, please indicate it in your application.
There is no participation fee for foreign officials. However, the travel costs to and from the session are at your own expense. Officials are asked to arrive one day prior to the session to take part in officials’ teambuilding and training.
Applications should include:
- your contact details: name, age, nationality, e-mail and phone number
- your previous EYP experience
- a short statement of motivation
