eypfilogoEYP Finland is the National Committee of the European Youth Parliament in Finland. It promotes the objectives of the EYP by organising various sessions and other EYP events each year. An important part of its work is to select the delegations that will represent Finland at the International Sessions. In order to so, EYP Finland organises three Regional Sessions and a National Session each year. The Regional Sessions act as a preliminary round for the National Session. At the NS, a total of four delegations, each consisting of four students, is selected to take part in International Sessions.

In 2009, EYP Finland hosted the 62nd International Session of the EYP in Helsinki.

In addition to the sessions, EYP Finland organises several other activities for its Alumni. Chairs’ trainings, the Annual Ball and informal Alumni meetings are only a few examples of its diverse functions. With funding of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, EYP Finland has also developed a project to promote EYP-style parliament simulations at Finnish high schools. Every year, hundreds of Finnish high school students take part in the activities of EYP Finland.

EYP Finland has also three regional committees in Helsinki, Tampere and Turku. The regional organisations are responsible for EYP activities in their respective cities and offer more Alumni with the opportunity to continue in EYP after taking part in a session.
